Its been super long since the last time I blogged. Year 2 Sem 1 of my degree ended, I will not say that time passed too fast, it did not move in a blink of an eye. This Semester, let's consider that it is the most relax semester in my 4 years degree period. I only have 14 credit hours this semester, just 5 papers to sit in my final.
Ended my last paper which was Manufacturing Process on 11th of January! Yes, while everyone was celebrating the new year of 2018 , all of the local universities students are burying their heads into books because its final exam period. Well, it was all worth it, to tell the truth, I did not treat this exam very seriously, I just told myself, I will do my best and that's all. After all , its less than 1% of what your gonna experience in life.
OK, so yup. Let's go into main topic. So , my best buddy in UTeM, Jia Huei and some of my Form 6 friends , Keng Onn, Jia Chuan and Phoo ( not really close cause we are not in the same class, plus I am introvet , so i did not mix with basically anyone else besides my classmates ) , they decided to go to Genting Highlands to take some shots, btw my friend Jia Huei is really good with the camera, hit him up for any requirement . Details will be posted below this blog.
Jia Huei jio me , I really got excited as I have not been to Genting since maybe like in secondary school? Genting Premium Outlet open last year in 2017 , and yet I still have not step foot on Genting soil.
Started our journey at 9.30am, slow drive up Genting and stop at Awana Cable Car station, park our car, took so many pictures at Genting Premium Outlet. There mostly high ends brand outlet and they even have Baskin Robbins??!! I mean the weather is so cold, why do even people still go for ice-cream ? Will post some of his works in my blog later but actually 2 of his friends has been his model for a few shoots that they had done before this. So, I'm like a newbie and trying to act cool and act like I know how to post when actually I do not know a single thing. Haha
Parking ticket for that day was RM12 (freaking expensive ), Jia Huei told me if your are a member (apply for free) , you get parking free for 24 hours. But, in January 2018 , Genting decided to hike the price more than 100% from the original price, and nope, normal members do not get free parking anymore, I think maybe those with platinum or higher might enjoy those benefit.
We took the cable car up to Genting, they said its bad to drive the car all the way to the Resort above as it will damage the car faster. Per way for cable car was priced at RM8 . So, two ways is RM16. Kinda expensive if you take a look 5xRM16 = RM80 . I think driving up is way cheaper. But the view was amazing, the view coming down was even more beautiful, with the heights and the lighting that you get to watch from such an altitude, the money is worth lah. We basically did not have to wait for our turns as it was a weekday and there was no queue at all.
The weather was not that cold, at around 19-20 degree celcius. We went up and ate Go Noodle for lunch. I have been wanting to try out their mee and soup for the longest time. It was delicious and the broth was yummy. Highly recommended. Then, we walk around Genting, going in through so many boutique outlets and some of them brought shirts, nike and pants. I did not brought anything as I had purchased my CNY items already. Took more photos .
If your have not register as a Genting Card member, go and register , its free! They even give you RM30 free credit to go into the casino , and of course you have to be 21 years old to enter the place. Getting all excited like a small kid, I went in and play one of the games. its RM30 free btw so why not ? I won RM5 out of it, got free drinks and exited the casino. So many uncles and aunty, grandpa and grandma spent their whole day sitting on the chair and pressing the button , to try their luck.
The place stinks, with smokers everywhere , still cannot understand why people have to smoke. Waste money, Ruin your health. The only good thing come from smoking : NOTHING.
Then we had dinner at Kenny Rogers Roaster and then head back home. It was a fun day, and glad that it did not turn out awkward as I did not join their gang before.
