Sight-Seeing Muar

A while back, I drove down Muar for a short getaway on a weekend. It was a Me time, I didn't ask any of my friends ( Loner, no friends) and just wanted to have some time alone. I survey the places to go, places to eat and plan out my day in the most perfect timing I can arrange.Woke up pretty late the next day, clean myself and then started the journey. It only took around 1 hour to reach Muar from my University. The comfort and smooth drive, along with some green scenery along the journey, its just calming. And then....

My waze indicated that there's a speed camera ahead and shit, I step on my brakes ( I was driving at maybe 90km/h ), I remember seeing signs indicating the speed limit was 80km/h , as I was stepping down on my brakes, I can see from the corner of my eyes, there's this police guy sitting with his camera beside the road! I'm like OMG OMG , did I actually drove past the speed limit. Paranoid me start thinking of the hefty summons that I have to pay and all that. Like why? Cause normally I obey the speed limit on highways etc, but this? ( But turns out it was all good, there's wasn't any summon notices when I checked online.)

I tried to block the negatives thoughts and then continue driving to Muar. Reached there safety. ( Put the car tickets guys, their Majlis Bandaraya guys take the job seriously, you can't even like cheat the hours, they still summon you! )

First stop, went to Kedai Kopi Lu San (卢山茶室) , had their famous Hainan Chicken Curry Rice. Maybe I was hungry, it tasted sooooo good. I even order a bowl of soup upon suggestion by the woman boss, total was about RM11. Quite expensive if not as I read online the prices were way way lower, or maybe I didn't do enough research or they have already raise their price.

After that, it was all about the walking and more walking. And that is why I like travelling and going out alone, I can do what I want and not worrying will my friends be tired/ bored/ not want to walk more, especially cause it was a sunny day. Walk to the famous Pear juice store, it was only RM1. Tasted mehhh^^^ (overly sweet for my liking ) . I would't buy one again, should had just gotten some fresh fruits instead.

Then walk to the jetty and river , water was pretty dirty. Haha . Nevertheless, I enjoy the breeze while sipping away with my Pear Juice.

The weather was too hot, and I decided to drive to a mall in Muar, just to get some much needed air-cond. Can't specifically remember what's the mall name, is it Astake or Wetex but it was pretty decent, went to Popular bookstore and actually brought a new Chinese Novel, thought of reading it later at Pantai Tanjung Emas.

And then continue walking and sigh seeing in Muar. Went to their famous Mural alley and places, seriously so pretty and clean. You will be surprise that some hidden alley actually have pretty impressive Murals. I could't bother but realize there are actually many run down shops in Muar among all the other still functioning shop lots. Here are some of the pictures:

It's a Mural guys, at first glance , I thought it was a real human, like seriously!

Then, I went into a random kopitiam and had some cool nice ice coffee. I didn't went to any fancy cafe or the 434 or 343 cafe . Cheaper and better. I spend a good 1 hour over there as I was quite tired from all the walking.

After that, I drove all the way to Ah Wen's Otak Otak to get some homemade otak otak, I remember reading it from someone's else blog and decided to try it out ( they say all Otak Otak taste delicious in Muar ). The place actually located in a residential area, with just a small sign in front of their house ( In Chinese summore) , and also located in front of an indoor badminton court if not mistaken ). I went there and brought 5 of the otak otak and ate on the bench in front of the badminton court ( there wasn't anyone around that afternoon ). Yummy! As do all Otak-Otak in Muar! Otak Otak is bae!

Drove to Pantai Tanjung Emas. I love love love this place. The constant breeze , under the trees, it feels so good. A few senior citizen were there painting ( super nice ) , there wasn't any crowd so I got some peace and quite time, while reading away with my novel. I would definitely come back again in near future.

After that, it was dinner at Long Poh seafood. Ordered their famous fish. Delicious and yummy. Had one whole fish all to myself. Yums.

After that, drove back to my University.

Ps. I actually overdue my parking ticket for like 1 hour ( Smart me assuming that the Majlis Perbandaran people will not bother, because at least I got put what, some didn't even put ) , and guess what, I got a summon. And it stated ( parking overdue...) Like seriously, so strict. Ok fine, I'll pay, but guess what? For my case, its basically free because when I pay RM12 for my summons, they actually gave me 2 RM6 parking books. Ok, at least I got the parking books that I can use in future when I'm visiting Muar again.

Pss. That day I went to Mahkota Parade Melaka and will be staying there for around 2 hours, so I decided that I will for once, obey the rules and put 2 parking tickets ( thanks Muar for the lesson ) and guess what, I was right as when I went back to my car, there's the police parking attendant giving out summons , both the cars beside me got summons ( They didn't even put the parking tix ) .

Psss. I'm having my finals this week and here I am writing this blog instead of revising. Year 3 of my degree gonna end soon. Can't believe its been 3 years since I step foot into UTeM, it feel like just last week I have gotten my acceptance letter.

Been watching a lot of Vivy Yusof lately, didn't know this person until recently, I love her way of blogging and also vlogging. She is just funny and erm authentic.

Till then,
Cheers.
