Redang Holiday Trip

Hi Guys! Its been quite some time not going on any holidays or vacation. Well, my friends and I (19 people) went to Redang Island for a short getaway. It was surely a fun trip , but as much as I like travelling, going in such a big group will not allow the real bonding to occur, as everyone only stick with their 'gangs' and the girls mainly stick to themselves, so do the guys.

So, we booked our package from a tour agent ATW TRAVEL & TOURS SDN. BHD. We took the cheapest one cause we are students and we wanted to save as much as possible. We are under REDANG HOLIDAY .

Our package was priced at RM306 per head. It changes according to months or so. So it might be slightly more expensive if you are going there next month.

Package Include Package
 2 Ways Ferry Ticket
 2 Night Accommodation
 2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch,2 Tea Break, 1 Dinner, 1 BBQ dinner (Halal Buffet Style)
 3 Snorkeling Trip
 Professional Snorkeling Guide

Not Include
 Marine Park Conversation Fees  (RM5)
 Snorkeling Equipment  (RM15)
 Life Jacket (RM15)
 Insurance (Did not buy )

We started our journey from UTeM , Malacca. There was bus provided for student to go to Melaka Central as the semester break just started. We moves at 6pm and then went and had our dinner at McDonalds. We took our bus at 8.30 pm to Kuala Terengganu Bus Station . There were some stops throughout the journey and we reached the Bus Stop at the wee hours at around 5am. You can just walk a short 5-6 mins to the jetty . They do have optional Add On Item provided in the package which include  2 ways KT Bus Station at RM10 per person. Cut troat lah! So expensive. So remember, if you are reading this, the distance between the Bus Stop and the Jetty is not that far, please do not waste your money , unless you have your own personal reasons or health issue.

We waited until about 9am then boarded the ferry, the journey was around 1 hour, and it was frezzing cold in the ferry. The people met us at the drop down point and we sat their special car to their resort.
I did not take much photos this time as I am not really close with everyone, and then it was such a big group , and I wanted to just purely enjoy this 3 days.

The snorkeling experience was the best thing. We went snorkeling on the first day itself. There were fishes and corals and I accidentally cut my my leg. For the second day, in the morning, we went to the Marine Park area to snorkel. It was the best one of all 3 experience. The corals were so near and so high, and there were tons of fishes, so close and so pretty. The afternoon session was a little bit let down as there were barely any fishes for us to watch, not until we bait them with bread of course.

Accomodation wise, I did not like the room. It was a little bit small, with 4 people sharing, and the hygiene part was not taken care of. The moment I step into the room, there were already sandy sandy feelings, hello housekeeping? The floor mat was even worse, they did not clean them at all and end up we have to go out and clean the mat ourself. Washroom was just ok, thank God there have heater too. The mattress can be seen with little black stuff, not sure is it permanently ink on them or just plain dirt.

Food was awesome! I really enjoy every meal that they serve. Its really delicious and yummy. There even have bbq chicken and lamb chop for dinner on the 2nd day! Food wise, I could not complain at all. And there place is popular with squrrel, you can feed them when they come near to you, good and fun experience,

The beach was superb. It was well maintained and it was not polluted-yet! There were even school of small fish swimming at the shallow areas. Saw some tiny crabs too.

And we went to an Open Bar on the 2nd night, hear some melodies while playing the TRUTH game and the other guys order beer , its so expensive , alright maybe I don't really go to places like this so its like a little bit of a shock.  Even bringing your own can of beers will be charged RM2 per can. ( I though they just put up the notice for fun , or maybe give face not to charged us since some of them already purchase their stuff, but nope, they charged us still ) .

Sorry, did not snap the food and the fishes, mainly because I just wanna enjoy and just not being the guy who always need to update his instagram. This trip was fun, exciting and all , but I would maybe tried out another package another time the accomodation is a real let down. Go there and experience yourself, Redang  is still a beautiful place to explore. But I saw people still selling turtle eggs opening at their market . Why? How is that possible? I thought they are protected creatures ?

Till then,
Cheers.

Who is Make-A- Wish Malaysia?

Make-A-Wish Malaysia is a self-supported non-government organisation that strongly believes in the Power of a Wish as a wish awakens the imagination, builds excitement and encourages the child to dream, providing laughter and fun. When the wish of a critically-ill child is granted this will give them a sense of hope and inspire confidence in them, enabling the child and family to better cope with fear and pain associated with their fight.

Under this  “Luggage Trade-In Programme” , you can trade-in any used luggage at participating Samsonite stores and receive up to a maximum of 40% off !! on your next purchase of selected Samsonite luggage.  This is where it gets interesting, for every luggage that is traded in, Samsonite will pledge RM10 to Make-A-Wish Malaysia. So besides getting a new luagge for yourself, are bringing joy to strangers that will surely make their day .

On top of that, the preloved luggage bags received will be assessed and those which are still in good condition will be donated to Make-A-Wish Malaysia to be used or distributed at their discretion.

“This is the first time in Malaysia that we are embarking on this programme, and Samsonite is proud to collaborate with such an esteemed organisation to help make wishes come true for children in Malaysia who are suffering from critical illnesses. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience fun and laughter in their life’s journey, despite their battle with illness. We also strongly believe in giving back to the community and what better way to do so than to give hope to children for a better tomorrow. After all, children are our hope for the future.” said Ambert Khoo, Country Head of Samsonite (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
“We are honoured to be collaborating with Samsonite (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd for this wonderful campaign. As a self-supported non-government organisation, we rely solely on fundraising and donations from corporations and individuals to enable us to continue our mission of granting the wishes of children who are suffering from critical illnesses. Up to 2018, we have granted over 423 wishes to children in Malaysia and we hope that through this programme, we are able to grant more wishes.” said Irene Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Malaysia.

Owl Cracker

你多少也知道,那個需要你一直不斷主動維繫關係的人,其實他沒有你想像中的在乎你,
與其苦苦維持下去,
不如乾脆一點離開,讓自己好過一點吧。

You should know, those people that you have been so into with , maintaining that relationship just for the sake of keeping in touch , you should know that they do not really care about you.
Rather than holding on to them, why not let go and leave, you will feel much MUCH better.
Been down recently with life's hurdles , its funny how someone's words , comments and view meant so much to you. You act like its all Ok, and that its alright , and that you are cool with everything and everyone , but honestly, you are putting on a mask , a poker face of master .
Been listening to Settle Down by Gentle Bones. Addicted to it. Gentle Bones
Till then,
Cheers.
