ARTH Watch and Palm Oil Roadshow 2016

UTeM Harmonique Choir recently organize Mic-A-Tone 2016, its a singing talent contest, from student, for students. If I am not mistaken, the contest has been going on for around 1 month , to choose the best among the best.

The finals was held on 8th December 2016, there were food trucks called into the Uni to provide delicious food for the students. It was held at PPP (Pusat Persatuan Pelajar ) , which means there is no air-conditioning and people gonna bear with the heat.

In conjuntion with this event, they also organize an online contest, where all UTeM students are encourage to join this. They are giving away 6 watches worth RM90 each where contestant will only need to write a slogan on why they like ARTH watch. I am one of the lucky 6 to be choosen.

Sadly I did not get to attend the finals and the prize giving ceremony as I promised my friends to discuss and complete our assignment (due date next day summore ) , but my classmate kah loh took the prize for me. Was so busy the past two day that I did not even get the chance to take the prize from him, and I only got them yesterday. Friday was a busy day as it was the third roadshow for the Spring Festival. (will blog about it next time ).

So here is the prized watch.

I am not a watch person but this so so cool! Its so stylish and its black! Thanks so much!!!

Do head up to their Facebook page if you are interested : ARTH

I got the watch from him early Saturday and decided to go to this Portugal Art festival at Temasek Hotel , just go and have a look and see stuff . Like I say, I like going and experiencing new things. Drive a good 30minutes plus, thanks to traffic and the ever annoying freaking 3 mins traffic light , my friends and I reached the destination.

Expected tons of food at least, booth with Portugal theme and all things Portuguese, and of course their egg tart! But sadly, non at all! The number of booths is already sad, with 90% of them selling hancrafted/ own designed bracelet, key chains, plus toys, hand-woven cute stuff, tatoos , suit those who like to collect stuff like this but not me. Only one lane of stalls and barely anything interesting for young people (especially guys ) , so yeah we left empty handed.

We decided to head down to Dataran Pahlawan / Mahkota Parade since we are already in the town area and its so near , I wanted to have their famous Nadeja cake too. We parked out car along the road and put on the parking tickets for 2 hours (60 sen per hour)  and walk over. It actually saves your money than going into their parking lot and pay over 10 ringgit per day . I did not know that Mahkota has their own Nadeja until yesterday, and man the queue was long, people we lining and waiting just to get a piece of their cake , I think some of them do not know that the orginal Nadeja is just nearby or else they would just walk over instead and waiting the super long lane.

We had our lunch at KFC ( yeah , yeah I know its unhealthy ) but it was delicious CAUSE WE WERE ALL DEAD HUNGRY , then we walk a while then walk to Dataran Pahlawan. We were lucky enough to walk pass by the Palm Oil exhibition campaign going on, we fill up some questionaire for the lucky draw, enter a Puzzle contest and we got 1st out of 10 teams ! There were health screening booth , students from UKM present to do a medical health check for everyone.

Waiting for our turn!
 show off xia!

Hamper!!!!

This year Christmas design at Dataran Pahlawan is so damn good! They even made it into the Malaysia Book of records for the largest Raindeer. (Its just located at the main entrance)

There were another worth taking picture site inside the mall where there is a male raindeer below one floor and the female raindeer on the floor above it , and two of them are reaching to each other.

Another shot of the Christmas Tree!

There were preparing the light sensation thingii that will start on 15th December 2016 over here in Malacca. But will not be going  because I do not feel its worth paying RM20 just to see lighted flowers, I might as well go grab a Nadeja and maybe save the money for future purposes. Haha

We ended up not going to Nadeja as it was getting late and we wanted to leave the area before traffic builts up.

Enjoyed this day with my housemate, and I bought this RM15 selfie stick at this stall!

Till then, cheers.

Brats & Uni Cafe and Suya

A while back ago, my house B-2-3-D got third for the cleanest house competition organize by Al-Jazari. Here are the goodies. We actually did wash the toilet and decorate a bit, took pictures and sent them over.

On tuesday, my super RESPONSIBLE math lecturer came into our class, we were suppose to have quiz that day, but he said quiz will be on the following week. He wrote one question on the board, and then dismiss us. Seriously?

So I decided to go out venture again. Went to a cafe nearby MMU , its called Brats & Uni . Called latte and spend a good 3 hours over there. They did not on the air conditioning because there were no other customer, wifi super slow, so I don't think I will be coming back again . But their interior and pictures and arrangement of their furnitures and settings are so instagram friendly!

This week, I also went to try out SUYA the first time, and also the last time. Did not particularly enjoy it because its steamboat style, I prefer BBQ style , however choices and variety more compare to BBQ plaza. Student price RM29.

and there were ice creams as desserts too.

My friends and I basically Sapu the whole plate of watermelon as it was so sweet!

Thanks for the okayness dinner. Will not come back in a while. :)

Then rush to church for a special praise and worship session.

Till then, cheers.
