PledgeCare- A New generation of Pet Food

Have you heard of PledgeCare? I haven't.

I am not sure how did I came across this brand, was it on Facebook or a recent visit to Pet World Malaysia at Mid Valley. But, somehow they were kind enough to sent in a free sample for their latest product duck recipe food for my dog even before their launch it officially.

Got a whatsapp message from them congratulating me for being lucky enough to get the sample, they asked for my name and address and then a few days later I got my sample in a unique postage. Even though it was sent just in a brown envelope, there was a chop " SPECIAL DELIVERY FOR Darren's Pup!" .  And a small dog paw after their name. This is nice! You know, its this kind of postage that makes me excited to receive, open and try out, and made a review on my blog, because they took the extra effort to gain my attention, sometimes, its little things like this that makes a huge different.

Well , in the postage is their duck sample and also a simple brochure of their brand. They are not your regular pet food as their air-dried diets are made with 100% human-grade ingredients. They do not have artificial preservatives ( yes yes yes ! ). Upon opening the package, their raw food looks like any other brands that I have used before, smells yummy ( for dogs ) haha and slightly crunchier than other brands that I given to my dog before.

As my dog isn't a picky eater, she jumps straight into it, and feast like its her regular treat. I only gave her about 6-8 pieces to try on and she totally enjoys it. Kept raising up her paw and asking for more.
( I train her to shake my hand before she gets her meal or treats ). I'll give the rest after today and might be purchasing from them real soon. That's if I have a budget for it as it is quite expensive, but hey, if your have the budget and your dogs needs better nutrient, why not give this brand and their product a try. As for this air-dried raw duck food, it contains carrot , pumpkin and papaya and made from 80% fresh meat, organ and bone and 20% Vegetable and greens. They are price at RM75 for 750g, RM142 for 1.5kg and RM274 for 3kg and they offer free shipping too.

Below attached is the content of their brochure :

And guess what, First time customers , you can get RM15 off by using the coupon code “welcome15”. They have chicken recipe too!

Sight-Seeing Muar

A while back, I drove down Muar for a short getaway on a weekend. It was a Me time, I didn't ask any of my friends ( Loner, no friends) and just wanted to have some time alone. I survey the places to go, places to eat and plan out my day in the most perfect timing I can arrange.Woke up pretty late the next day, clean myself and then started the journey. It only took around 1 hour to reach Muar from my University. The comfort and smooth drive, along with some green scenery along the journey, its just calming. And then....

My waze indicated that there's a speed camera ahead and shit, I step on my brakes ( I was driving at maybe 90km/h ), I remember seeing signs indicating the speed limit was 80km/h , as I was stepping down on my brakes, I can see from the corner of my eyes, there's this police guy sitting with his camera beside the road! I'm like OMG OMG , did I actually drove past the speed limit. Paranoid me start thinking of the hefty summons that I have to pay and all that. Like why? Cause normally I obey the speed limit on highways etc, but this? ( But turns out it was all good, there's wasn't any summon notices when I checked online.)

I tried to block the negatives thoughts and then continue driving to Muar. Reached there safety. ( Put the car tickets guys, their Majlis Bandaraya guys take the job seriously, you can't even like cheat the hours, they still summon you! )

First stop, went to Kedai Kopi Lu San (卢山茶室) , had their famous Hainan Chicken Curry Rice. Maybe I was hungry, it tasted sooooo good. I even order a bowl of soup upon suggestion by the woman boss, total was about RM11. Quite expensive if not as I read online the prices were way way lower, or maybe I didn't do enough research or they have already raise their price.

After that, it was all about the walking and more walking. And that is why I like travelling and going out alone, I can do what I want and not worrying will my friends be tired/ bored/ not want to walk more, especially cause it was a sunny day. Walk to the famous Pear juice store, it was only RM1. Tasted mehhh^^^ (overly sweet for my liking ) . I would't buy one again, should had just gotten some fresh fruits instead.

Then walk to the jetty and river , water was pretty dirty. Haha . Nevertheless, I enjoy the breeze while sipping away with my Pear Juice.

The weather was too hot, and I decided to drive to a mall in Muar, just to get some much needed air-cond. Can't specifically remember what's the mall name, is it Astake or Wetex but it was pretty decent, went to Popular bookstore and actually brought a new Chinese Novel, thought of reading it later at Pantai Tanjung Emas.

And then continue walking and sigh seeing in Muar. Went to their famous Mural alley and places, seriously so pretty and clean. You will be surprise that some hidden alley actually have pretty impressive Murals. I could't bother but realize there are actually many run down shops in Muar among all the other still functioning shop lots. Here are some of the pictures:

It's a Mural guys, at first glance , I thought it was a real human, like seriously!

Then, I went into a random kopitiam and had some cool nice ice coffee. I didn't went to any fancy cafe or the 434 or 343 cafe . Cheaper and better. I spend a good 1 hour over there as I was quite tired from all the walking.

After that, I drove all the way to Ah Wen's Otak Otak to get some homemade otak otak, I remember reading it from someone's else blog and decided to try it out ( they say all Otak Otak taste delicious in Muar ). The place actually located in a residential area, with just a small sign in front of their house ( In Chinese summore) , and also located in front of an indoor badminton court if not mistaken ). I went there and brought 5 of the otak otak and ate on the bench in front of the badminton court ( there wasn't anyone around that afternoon ). Yummy! As do all Otak-Otak in Muar! Otak Otak is bae!

Drove to Pantai Tanjung Emas. I love love love this place. The constant breeze , under the trees, it feels so good. A few senior citizen were there painting ( super nice ) , there wasn't any crowd so I got some peace and quite time, while reading away with my novel. I would definitely come back again in near future.

After that, it was dinner at Long Poh seafood. Ordered their famous fish. Delicious and yummy. Had one whole fish all to myself. Yums.

After that, drove back to my University.

Ps. I actually overdue my parking ticket for like 1 hour ( Smart me assuming that the Majlis Perbandaran people will not bother, because at least I got put what, some didn't even put ) , and guess what, I got a summon. And it stated ( parking overdue...) Like seriously, so strict. Ok fine, I'll pay, but guess what? For my case, its basically free because when I pay RM12 for my summons, they actually gave me 2 RM6 parking books. Ok, at least I got the parking books that I can use in future when I'm visiting Muar again.

Pss. That day I went to Mahkota Parade Melaka and will be staying there for around 2 hours, so I decided that I will for once, obey the rules and put 2 parking tickets ( thanks Muar for the lesson ) and guess what, I was right as when I went back to my car, there's the police parking attendant giving out summons , both the cars beside me got summons ( They didn't even put the parking tix ) .

Psss. I'm having my finals this week and here I am writing this blog instead of revising. Year 3 of my degree gonna end soon. Can't believe its been 3 years since I step foot into UTeM, it feel like just last week I have gotten my acceptance letter.

Been watching a lot of Vivy Yusof lately, didn't know this person until recently, I love her way of blogging and also vlogging. She is just funny and erm authentic.

Till then,
Cheers.

Althea Mask for only RM0.71 per piece!

Yes, you heard it right. You can buy Althea Mask at only RM0.71 per piece! Which includes free shipping from their Korea warehouse to Malaysia. What a steal!

Anyways, Althea came out with their latest product which is their range of mask .

There are 4 types which consist of Watermelon for Extra Hydration, Peach for Acne Sensitive Skins, Lemon for Brightening and Avocado for Nourishing and Reduces Wrinkles. ( Below pictures are taken from Tammy Lim's facebook , the founder of The Butterfly Project. )

It is priced at RM2/mask or RM15/set (10pcs).But guess what? I got them when they were just launching it at Buy 10 Free 10 ! And on top of that, there were giving free shipping when you buy 2 items, plus one free mask too. It arrived at my doorstep approximately in 1 week time.

My review and verdict: Totally worth it for buying it at such a cheap price. I only brought the Water-Me-Long Mask as my skins is more prone to getting dry and I need to get them hydrated. I don't really apply mask in my daily routine, just occasionally when I am in the mood. It smells so good and indeed less oily by comparing with other mask. The after-peeling mask does not leave my face with oily or discomfort, in fact its does hydrate my skin well. It contains watermelon extract to keep the skin hydrated and supple for a long time.

It is priced at RM2/mask or RM15/set (10pcs). Too bad its currently sold out, but I will link the website below and you might get this deal in future.

UTeM Mic-A-Thon X Friends

It been more than 1 month since i started my new semester . This is my 6th semester, another 2 more semesters to go, and perhaps Singapore?

Many things has been happening the past 1 month, just celebrated CNY and then off to Uni. Thank God for giving my parents the opportunity to travel to Korea for a 2 week vacation. where the weather is super cold while in Malaysia its super Hot. My mum has always wanted to travel abroad , and finally she got the chance to visit the country where she normally cry buckets while watching their drama. I wasn't able to join this time around but I am glad that they are back safely and they enjoyed everything over there.

*If you're a digi user, go claim this free Photobook from your MY Digi Rewards apps, it includes a 4X4 free printing book, 20 pictures and includes delivery as well. Go claim yours now! *

This semester, I made the decision to apply and stay inside the University's hostel. As much as I didn't really want to stay inside, where I will miss the FUN life outside with my friends, and maybe just the freedom, I am glad I stay by my decision and stood by it. Got the 3rd floor, superd wifi, only 7 person in a 10 person house, got the side room with a windy window, God is Good. Room mate is an Ok person, didn't really talk to him much except for the normal daily greetings.

Recently went and supported my friend, Walter Wang in a singing competition called Mic-A-Thon, that was held in UTeM , he actually made it into finals, which was actually quiet surprising as I didn't know he could sing that well, like really good quality kind of singer, I always though he was just bullshitting and joking whenever he speaks about singing/music etc. Now I know. Actually there are other contestant that I went to support too, like Hown Ge and my direct Jen , glad that everyone enjoy this event.

Finally went to UTeM jogging forest after so long, the place is totally run down, before I left for Indonesia, the path was still ok, the workers do clean the place and ensure students will be able to jog and exercise, but no, now it looks so dirty, leaves and falling of the palm tree's fruit didn't make it better, oh well, just gonna job at the Stadium then.

I also went to support my classmates Christine and YS during their flashmob at The Alley , Melaka. It was just a random event held in collab with UTHM dancers and they decided to just do a simple flashmob, a lot of UTeM students actually came and support, almost all of the FKP chinese actually came for this. They dance to maybe like 5 songs in total? I enjoy the performances and glad that it didn't rain that day.

I am thankful to God for sending talented people around me, and instances like this really makes me wonder how faith works , meeting the right bunch of people during this period of my life, I am so so grateful. When people ask me, do I get envy of my friends that get to go German, or how my friends are more talented than me , and how about the times when they just do better than you? Well, to tell the truth, there is surely just a little bit of discontent feeling, but nope, I can say 95% of he time, I am really happy, happy for them and happy for the chance and everything that I am able to experience myself.

I can never really understand back-stabbing among friends, like why do you need to be so engrossed at someone'e else achievement and do something so wrong, for the wrong reason. Be happy for others, support them and they might just be there to help you  to accomplish your dreams too. Don't try to make assumption on the things you do not understand.

That day, C actually wrote this : "Another 1 more year " on her Instagram , yes, how time passes, another 1 more year, we all will grad, we all will walk the path we pave , and for the opportunity to loan their 4 years time with me, I am blessed beyond words.

Oh, and I was accepted to do my Internship in June at a company called Allied Foam in Balakong, Cheras! Hopefully it will be a good and fruitful Internship, positive vibes pls! Been thinking a lot about Surabaya lately, the delish carbonara, the cheap and tasty seafood combo at the dark alley way, the malls where I used to go to attend my church, the people and the friends I got to know over there. I rewatch my instagram stories about the trip to Malang and Bromo the other days, dem feels . I wish I could teleport myself and visit Rowo Terate , to my host's house just for another day.

Been hearing to 真的傻 Foolish Love , its the theme song from the movie 一吻定情 Fall in Love at First Kiss, go watch it if you haven't. It's romantic.

Till then,
Cheers.

Good Times DIY Baking & Lifestyle Cafeat @ Paradigm Mall

Tired of sending your kids to those usual indoor playground in the mall, watching them jumping up and down and run everywhere like crazy little cuter monster while your heart races and ready for every instance if she / he fell down and cry, and then you have to go and comfort and Sayang them??
And for adults, tired of going outdoor bonding and boring team building activities? Well , I have something excited to share to you guys!

Good Times DIY Baking & Lifestyle Cafe is the place to go! They have 3 branches to date, one at MyTOWN, Cheras , one at Sunday Pyramid and the one I went to is located at Paradigm Mall, PJ .

Inspired from Taiwan 's baking teaching methods, every individual can produce their baking products by following the guidance in the tablet with own speed. - As quoted on their FB page

So what's this place about? It's the place where imagination, calculations and hands-on work is done. They actually provide different packages to accommodate everyone, with guide to guide steps on a tablet, with conclusive recipes, measuring value for each ingredient, time need for every portion to bake out a delicious cake, pie and many more! The steps are very easy to follow, and they have helpers on stand by to assist you if you need any help, all ingredients are already label and it's very easy.

I am sure kids will enjoy this very much, because it is like a mini cooking session for them to explore and this is a good lesson and good way to expose to kids about cooking and sorts. As for adults, what's more enriching then having your pals or office mate around you for a baking and fun session, in a quiet and fun mini cafe , to share some outdoor moments from office and de-stress maybe?

This Good Times DIY Baking & Lifestyle Cafe @ Paradigm Mall is actually not that big, I think at most it can fit 15 adult at one time? Just my rough estimation, I will link their FB page below, so if you're reading and interest to get more info on this, do PM their facebook for info, the manager in this outlet is super friendly.

I will be baking Strawberry Cheese Tart Today.  Basically, there are only 3 main parts that I have to do, first, make the dough for the pastry and bake them, second, make the cheese filling, and finally, cut fruit and decorate.

It is very simply to measure all the ingredients and they are listed on their own individual tupperware, just measure every ingredients according to the recipe and place them into the small bowls. Here is me with my Dough ingredients.

Then, bring your ingredients over to their mini mixer. They already have a stopwatch over there for your convenience. After this is done, it is time to chill the dough in the fridge.

Then, get ready to hold your sleeves up as you will be flattening your dough to fit the plate/pan ? Just insert the dough into their mini oven for baking after your are done.

Next, go and prepare the ingredients needed to make the cheese filling, and again measure using all the measuring tools provided and then go to the mixer again.

After that, it's the cutting of fruit, for me, its strawberry . Cut them into thin slices will do. Take the baked pastry out, let it cool down and then you can start spreading the cheese filling on it, gently. Strawberry next. Decorate and add a bit of icing sugar so give that " Like very nice like that " kind of feel.

Ok so all in all, difficulty was maybe 4/10 , it is so simply and easy to do, even for someone like me who never enters the kitchen to do any cooking except for frying egg and cooking instant maggi. Simply a very fun activities to do with your kids or colleague. It took maybe around one hour plus for me to complete everything. No one was there so I got the whole place to myself, and an assistance that is eager to help me as she has no other customers to tend to.

If I am not mistaken, they do cater for birthday events for kids, and this place is just so cool and relaxing, the blue colour wallpapers brings the place into a peaceful and calming mood.

Thanks Good Times DIY Baking & Lifestyle Cafe for having me today, it was fun and entertaining. Would definitely come back and try out other recipes soon.

Ps: These are all my personal views.

Quarantine SHN Life at Park Avenue Changi Hotel Singapore

Yellow! It's been ages since I have written anything new. I have too much time on hand for now and so I though I might as well document ...
